Provincial police believe three people who committed thefts in at least three stores in northeastern Ontario are headed towards Thunder Bay.
In a Wednesday news release, the OPP said an ongoing investigation has led to the belief that the same trio committed similar thefts at stores in Elliot Lake, Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie within the last seven days. Police said one incident happened on June 24, when three people went into an Elliot Lake store and made their way to the cosmetic section. Two distracted na employee, while the third stole cologne and perfume worth more than $1,000.The other incidents happened in Sudbury on June 23 and Sault Ste. Marie on Sunday.
Police said the three may be headed towards Thunder Bay, and stores are asked to contact police if the suspects are seen.
