Breaking: Toronto man arrested in 'unprovoked' stabbings on two under-housed victims
Toronto police have arrested a 21-year-old man following a pair of “unprovoked” stabbing attacks on two under-housed victims, including one who was sleeping outside a downtown business.
In both cases, an assailant approached the victims and slashed them in the face with an edged weapon, before fleeing the area, Toronto police Insp. Kathlin Seremetkovski said, speaking to the media outside police headquarters on Tuesday morning. The first assault happened Friday morning at 7:30 a.m. in the area of Dundas Street East and Victoria Street. The victim was standing outside when the attacker approached from behind, police say.
