The incident happened at Harlan Bakeries in the 7500 block of East US Highway 36, east of South Avon Avenue, around 3 a.m. Thursday.AVON, Ind. — One person was taken into custody after a reported disturbance at a warehouse in Avon early Thursday, police said.Around 3 a.m.
At the scene, officers located a male matching the description provided to police, who was taken into custody without incident. Police confirmed the male reported as a possible suspect was the person taken into custody. A preliminary investigation has not indicated that any shots were fired during the incident, Nugent said, and police do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the public.
Police believe a conflict between two employees may have led up to the incident, during which one employee"indicated his intent to retrieve a firearm and potentially shoot and possibly other people inside the facility," Nugent said.
