A man in a Dodge Journey was driving southbound in the northbound lanes Sunday morning when the car struck a CTA bus, police said.

A man in a Dodge Journey was driving southbound in the northbound lanes around 6 a.m. near the Kenwood neighborhood when the car struck a CTA bus, police said. The Chicago Fire Department reported one car fire at the scene and closed the northbound lanes of DuSable Lake Shore Drive.According to police, an adult female passenger was transported to the University of Chicago Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The bus driver and 12 passengers were transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries and conditions, police said.
