Pokémon GO app not accessible for visually-impaired users, N.J. man says in lawsuit

A Hudson County man says in court papers that Niantic, which created the popular Pokémon GO game, is violating the Americans with Disabilities Act.

A Hudson County man has sued the developer of Pokémon GO, saying the mobile gaming app and the company’s website discriminate against visually impaired and blind people., which created the popular Pokémon GO played on cell phones and other mobile devices, discriminates against the visually impaired in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

“For example, many features on the website fail to accurately describe the contents of graphical images,” the suit states. The site fails to properly label titles, fails to distinguish one page from another, contains broken links, incomplete headings and other issues, the suit states.
