Poilievre shakes up senior ranks of Conservative Party via thehilltimes
Pierre Poilievre is shaking things up at the Conservative Party of Canada HQ and fundraising is a big focus.The story link will be added automatically.After announcing his 80-member shadow cabinet in October, Pierre Poilievre has been busy putting together a team of senior political aides to prepare the party for the next federal election which the Conservatives think is theirs to lose.
Wayne Benson, the outgoing interim executive director of the Conservative Party, will now serve as the regional organizer in Prince Edward Island. TPrior to becoming the executive director of the federal party, Crase served as executive director of the Ontario Progressive Conservative Party, beginning in 2018 and led the provincial party to win two successive majority victories. In the past, he also worked as a political aide to former Ontario Conservative MP Bob Dechert.
So far this year, the Conservatives have raised $13.3-million, the Liberals $9.1-million, the NDP $3.7-million, the Greens $1.2-million, PPC $879,00 and the Bloc $709,000. “It was always sort of [understood] that I would stay around until the new team came on,” said Miller.
