Belleville’s Planning Advisory Committee is recommending city council allow a rezoning of vacant land on Moira Street East near Riverside ParkThe property is currently zoned for a maximum two-storey 61-unit nursing home.

The applicant had agreed to modify the development to keep more mature trees standing than originally proposed. Planner Thomas Deming said the noise would be regulated under the city’s noise by-law which only allows construction between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
