Long-planned 1,500-home Faria Southwest Hills headed for City Council hearing
A longtime plan for a massive housing development on Pittsburg’s southwest hills was dealt another blow when the Planning Commission failed to recommend the project.
Faria Land Investors, a Seeno/Discovery Builders associate, wants to build some 1,500 homes clustered in the valleys in the unincorporated southwest Pittsburg hills, which overlook the former Concord Naval Weapons Station. What we want is what Pittsburg residents – hundreds of them – have already voiced, protection of the hills, protection of the views, protection of the quality of life, bring it down off the ridge – truly, there is no valley up there – and buffer the park.”
