Pink Sky, a popular Toronto restaurant known for its seafood towers and contemporary interiors, has permanently closed. The location will be transformed into a 'progressive cocktail bar' by INK Entertainment, the company behind Pink Sky. Details about the new establishment are yet to be released.
A Toronto restaurant that was once a hotspot in the city to see and be seen has reached the end of the road, closing down permanently as its owners prepare to turn it into something new.
Nearly four years after opening the doors of its sublime King West space — which, prior to that, had been home to Serving up the likes of heaping seafood towers, indulgent lobster mac and cheese, lobster rolls and salmon crudo, the restaurant, which is owned by INK Entertainment, the people behind other popular spots likeInstituting a sea-to-fork approach in a city that's decidedly distant from either coast, Pink Sky's fresh ingredients and refreshingly contemporary interiors have, in a relatively short time, solidified it as a major player in the area — but that reign has suddenly come to a close.
Taking to their Instagram account on Jan. 2, 2025, the team behind Pink Sky confirms the restaurant is officially closed for good — but the space it leaves behind won't be empty for long."We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our incredible guests and team for making Pink Sky a cherished part of the King West community," reads the caption of the post, which confirms the restaurant is closed as of Jan. 2.
Despite the sincere farewells, though, the restaurant is remaining within the INK Entertainment family, and will be transformed into a "progressive cocktail bar," headed up byWhile the finer details, including the name and concept behind the new spot, as well as when it'll open to the public, are under wraps for now, King West frequenters and those in the market for a new go-to alike can rest easy knowing there'll soon be a new spot to try out in the near future.
