Winter's grip refusing to let go quickly, keeping Prince George golfers in holding pattern
After a cool spring, Pine Valley Golf Centre opened for the season Saturday and business on the 18-hole Par 3 course was brisk.
The course opens daily at 9 a.m. and the last tee-time of the day is 5:30 p.m. until the days get longer. Aspen Grove still has quite a bit of snow cover and the plan is to open the first week of May. Aspen spokesperson Jen Bradner says golfers should watch the website for pop-up notices to find out exactly when they can get on the course and driving range.
