ICYMI: Pictou invites residents to take part in SnowMAZING Race | SaltWire
Pictou will be holding a SnowMAZING race event on Feb. 20.On Feb. 20, children are off school for a statuary holiday known as family day in many provinces, and Heritage Day in Nova Scotia.
Town councillor Melinda MacKenzie and councillor Nadine LeBlanc held the first ever SnowMazing Race in February of 2021 based off a similar event MacKenzie had put on while living and working in Cambodia. MacKenzie believes that events like this play a big part in building a stronger community spirit, and she actually remembers doing a scavenger hunt as a child growing up in Pictou as part of Pictou's Winter Carnival.
