The Karma Closet program at Northumberland Regional High School was recently recognized with a Nova Scotia Human Rights Award. A few of the members of the group are show here with the award. The group has 30 to 40 members and meets on Mondays to create weekly plans and determine who’s going to do what and when. In that, the program runs like clockwork and the tasks are evenly divided. “We are really honoured to have this award,” Mallory Matlock said. “It was really amazing to learn that we received it. All the volunteers work so hard.”“It was really cool to be up there with activists and life-changing people,” Matlock added.
