The earliest building of the “old” Truro hospital was knocked down on Tuesday – a sign of things slowly, but surely, moving forward on the contentious Truro landmark. | SaltWire
Marly Lynk and Gary Blaikie were driving by on Willow Street when they noticed the demolition and turned off to get a look from behind. Blaikie remembers being in the building when he was six years old for his tonsils.
“Every time we drove by, we said, ‘Are they ever going to tear it down? This is going to cost a lot of money,’” said Lynk.
