TORONTO – Ontario Premier Doug Ford has announced that Phil Verster , CEO of provincial transit agency Metrolinx , is leaving the position. The Eglinton Crosstown LRT project, under Verster's leadership, has faced criticism for delays and lack of an opening date. Verster has attributed the delays to the contractor but has faced calls for his dismissal. Ford has stated that Verster has accepted a new position and will be leaving as soon as Dec. 16.
