Next on the docket: The 45-year-old singer-songwriter performed his new single, released Friday, titled"The World," with an accompanying visual Yorn described as"probablyI've ever made.""It's kind of a simple song about taking the good with the bad in this life. We don't have a choice," he said while introducing the song.
The heartfelt yet cheeky lyrics in the buoyant acoustic melody empathized with those struggling while inspiring them to look at the upside-down world with rose-colored glasses. Yorn's giddy spirit never subsided, and he credited his 4-year-old daughter Ellington Bee for keeping him in check -- mostly for his noise levels.
"She doesn't let me play guitar too much around the house. She's always like, 'Quiet! Quiet!'" he disclosed before performing the father-daughter anthem"I Wanna Be the One" from hisalbum, released last year. "But I wrote this song for her, something about being the one to watch her, being the one to be there for her. This time at home, all stuck together, has certainly been good for that.
