By contrast, pass/fail grading would encourage students to keep up with their work while also relieving some of the pressure we’re facing right now. Maybe some students would use it as an excuse to do the bare minimum, but I can say that for me, and most classmates I know, it would make it easier to focus on actually learning the material.
