This drug-free device is a wearable pad that holds a removable gel pack, which can be frozen or microwaved or offer both heat and cold therapy. Heat can promote circulation and calm spasming muscles while cold may reduce swelling and inflammation.
Another thoughtful design element of the Magic Gel pack is the breathable neoprene wrap, which provides some compression which reviewers say is an added opportunity for pain relief. Plus, the extra wide wearable design, which secures with Velcro, means the pad can be worn while exercising, driving, at the office or working around the house. There’s also a similar pack that is slightly smaller for targeted pain relief and perfect for areas like the forearm.
It’s flexible, you can use it standing, sitting or laying down, and it’s still comfortable. It literally takes only seconds to put on and with the second gel pack, you don’t have to wait long in order to use it again or even use it in a different area. You can use it even on your shoulder because it can drape over your shoulder. You can wrap around your knee. Very versatile. The only downside I have seen is the Velcro tends to give away after time. A better Velcro would be helpful.
