The real issue is getting the two chambers to work together to help child abuse victims.

I was sexually abused by my high school theology teacher during my senior year. I, like many, thought I was his only victim, until 2004 when I opened the newspaper to see he offended again. He was being accused of abusing a girl who was two years behind me in high school. It was then I realized, instead of keeping my secret, I was going to step up and no longer be a victim.
