Police have arrested two people after investigating an attempted murder in Peel last December.
Peel police said on Dec. 12, 2022, they were called to a home near The Gore Road and Cottrelle Boulevard. There, police said one suspect broke into the home and tried to suffocate a person inside. Peel police Const. Jennifer Dagg said someone in the home confronted the suspect and the suspect escaped.On Dec. 14, 2022, police arrested a 31-year-old Toronto man on charges including attempted murder, breaking and entering, suffocation, administering a noxious substance and possessing fentanyl.
On Feb. 1, police arrested a 30-year-old Toronto man on charges including attempted murder, breaking and entering, and suffocation. Police are still investigating the incident.
