A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car on the Gardiner Expressway west of the Humber River late Wednesday, Toronto police said. Police responded to a call for a struck pedestrian around 10.06 p.m, they said. The pedestrian was crossing the highway from the north side to the south side, police said in a news release Friday.
The pedestrian was struck by a black BMW and pronounced dead at the scene, according to the news release.Local residents, drivers and businesses who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident are asked to contact police. They can also submit information anonymously via Crime Stoppers.
