Pedestrian injured after being hit by vehicle on freeway in Mission Valley [Breaking]
A 37-year-old woman walking in a freeway lane in Mission Valley was injured when she was hit by a vehicle early Sunday, the California Highway Patrol said Monday.
The woman was hit by a Kia sedan in the lane from northbound state Route 163 to eastbound Interstate 8 about 1:45 a.m., CHP Officer Jesse Matias said. The woman suffered major injuries was taken to a hospital, where she was in stable condition as of Monday, Matias said. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening.The driver of the Kia stopped after the crash and was not suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, Matias said.
