Pedestrian hit by vehicle near UVic, taken to hospital
A pedestrian was hospitalized with serious injuries Thursday morning after being hit by an SUV while in a crosswalk at Cedar Hill Cross Road and Iona Drive, near the University of Victoria.
Cedar Hill was closed between Iona and Gordon Head Road as Saanich police investigated the 8:30 a.m. incident. Police issued a notice about 12:20 p.m. that the road had reopened.Police believe the SUV driver was headed east, toward UVic, when the vehicle hit the pedestrian.
