Jodoin said she raised the issue directly with Brown and shortly afterward, “a corporation paid me and paid for my expenses, not the Brown campaign,” she said.
Beitchman said she made her own decision to come forward without any prompting from the party or any of the leadership campaigns. Pothier said if there was an issue the party should have given the Brown campaign an opportunity to address it, rather than force him from the race.
