Quick-acting Good Samaritan saves the life of a child
MACTIER — On August 23 at 11 a.m. Bracebridge OPP along with Muskoka EMS were dispatched to a report of a possible drowning at Stewart Lake Beach in Georgian Bay Township .
A two-year-old child had slipped away from his family and entered the water. Although he was quickly found by a caregiver, the child was unresponsive, say police.
