Joey Wiebe was riding the No. 11 Portage-Kildonan bus on Henderson Highway on April 30 at around 5:35 p.m., when he saw an apparently intoxicated person threatening elderly passengers in the front of the bus.

Taken by another passenger, the video shows Wiebe confront a person at the front of the bus who pulls out a knife. Someone can be heard on the video saying, ‘He’s got a knife, he’s got a knife. Call it in.’ The video includes what appears to be profanity from the person with the knife. “I seen all the people there and I had plans on what to do if he tried to use . I didn’t have any weapon but I just grabbed onto the rails and give him a hard kick to his middle and bring him down.”
