Environment Canada says Toronto might see snow as well next week, but should expect a chance of rain on Good Friday and low temperatures and sunshine on Easter Sunday.
As Toronto prepares for the Easter long weekend and the festivities that come along with it, many are hoping for a stretch of nice spring weather to get outside and enjoy what the city has to offer.are predicting snow flurries starting Friday night into Saturday. It’s been nearly a month since spring’s official start and the city still hasn’t yet experienced its first long stretch of warm weather, and the chances of it happening this weekend are unlikely.
Environment Canada is calling for a 60 per cent chance of flurries or rain showers for Toronto next week. The white stuff is expected to fall on Tuesday and the city should expect temperatures to reach a high of 7 C during the day, and drop below freezing at night., the forecast for Toronto shows a 60 per cent chance of showers on Good Friday, starting in the afternoon.
Saturday is also another washout in Toronto, with cloudy periods and a 40 per cent chance of showers. Temperatures are expected to reach a high of only 7 C, before dropping slightly to 4 C at night, says Environment Canada. The Weather Network isbeginning Friday night into Saturday, with wet snow expected northwest of the city and in parts of cottage country.
Sunday will be cool and sunny with a high of 6 C and clear skies, temperatures will drop below freezing overnight. Easter Monday is another cool and wet one, as Toronto is expecting a 60 per cent chance of rain and a high of 5 C. Periods of rain will wash over the city and the temperature at night will drop to a low of 1 C.
