PETALING JAYA: One person has been rescued while another remained trapped in the rubble after a section of a partially built condominium block in Taman Desa, in the federal capital, collapsed this afternoon.
The senior operations commander from the Fire and Rescue Department’s Kuala Lumpur branch told FMT that one of the victims had been sent to the hospital while efforts were underway to rescue the trapped person. The Protect Taman Desa From Over-Development Facebook group also posted photos of the incident and said that the project was “dangerously close to surrounding condominiums and schools.”
