When we opened the show, seeing people crying reminded us how grateful we are and how amazing it is that we’re able to entertain. And to share our life and talent with the world. Seeing my family again was refreshing. My niece has this growling voice and my cousin has a whistle. I’m still working on how I can channel both of them into the character.Article content I opened the show, when I see people crying, it’s like “oh, wow.” We don’t know what people are going through, and for me, I feel like The Lion King is the life that we’re living. That’s the story of our shoe.Still today, I go through that note all the time. I want to make sure that note is on point. That first song touches people, and I have to make sure that whenever I open up with that note, everyone receives me. I need to deliver for the audience to receive.
I want them to know that whatever they are going through it will be alright. I think that’s the message in the show. We go through all different things. We go through losing somebody. We go through relationships. But in the end, it’s going to be alright.My favourite song is, “He Lives in You.” He or she or whoever. Your guardian angel, whoever is behind you. They live in you. They will never leave you alone.
