PARO, Centre For Women’s Enterprise, has marked its 30th anniversary by celebrating the success of its peer lending circles that support women entrepreneurs across Ontario. Founded in 1995, PARO connects women in groups of four to seven, providing them with financial support, guidance, and a network of peers. The organization has grown to coordinate over 276 peer lending circles, with more developing across Canada. PARO offers training, resources, and access to funding, helping women navigate the challenges of starting and scaling their businesses. The organization also emphasizes community involvement, with members actively contributing to PARO's governance and collaborating with various business and community partners.

They also have an emergency fund that they develop within their circle to help their members if they run into hard times. “They also have to serve their customers and in many small communities there are not a lot of available offices to provide that flexibility.”
