Border restrictions related to COVID-19 are barring Canadian members of a golf course along the Canada-U.S. boundary with its pro shop in Maine and its fairways in New Brunswick from playing.

Grounds crew do maintenance as they prepare the opening up of Piper's Heath Golf Club during the COVID-19 pandemic in Milton, Ont., on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. Ontarians will be able to go shopping, play golf or tennis, and get their dogs groomed - but not visit family - starting next week as stage one of the province's reopening kicks in, Premier Doug Ford announced Thursday.

"They need to go through an official point of entry to get to our parking lot and they are not able to access the golf course right now." Leitch and other staff of the course are Canadian and live in New Brunswick, but are allowed to cross the border because they are considered essential workers to the business.
