Park Ridge news briefs: preschool openings at Maine East High School.

The preschool program at Maine East High School has openings for the 2023-24 school year, which begins Sept. 21. Student teachers teach the children under the direction of a certified teacher. The cost is $300 for the school year. Students must be at least three years old and potty trained.

A typical day includes circle time, story, movement/music, literacy, math, science/sensory, art and free play. The program runs from 8:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., twice a week from Sept. 21 through early May. For details, contact Michelle Meyer at
