A 21-year-old Park City man died in a skiing accident at Park City Mountain Resort, according to police.

The man, whose name has not been released, was skiing with friends on Friday when he became separated from them, according to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office. When he did not arrive at the bottom of the slope, a search began. The man was found at the bottom of a 30-foot drop. Members of the ski patrol and medical personnel began life-saving measures, and the victim was flown by helicopter to a hospital. He later died there.
Police were alerted to the death when they were contacted by the state medical examiner’s office on Sunday.
