Duo became teammates after separate disappointments in Tokyo, reach new heights with medal hopes alive in Paris

“When we got together, we wanted to make history together. And I think this is the first step there,” Humana-Paredes said. Humana-Peredes, 32, made it to the quarterfinals at the Tokyo Olympics three years ago with her then-partner Sarah Pavan, but were stopped from advancing by Australia.
