CALGARY—Some may call Alberta Premier Danielle Smith a nut, but to me, she’s as nutty as a fox, and she’s in the hen house. If you listen to Smith speak, she is very even-keeled and media savvy—a far cry from some of the adjectives people use to describe her. Watching her on CBC’s Power and Politics on Feb. 5 with host David Cochrane was like watching a prisoner crack their joints to get out of their handcuffs: she was ready for him. And that’s what makes her dangerous.

The Twitter account Libs of TikTok “directs the anti-LGBTQ outrage of a large audience toward individual people and institutions,” according to Media Matters, which found that violent threats “to hospitals and harassment against hospital staff have followed the account’s posts to social media.
