A dozen people are injured after a Toronto Island ferry crashed into a terminal dock Saturday evening.

Toronto police said on Twitter that officers responded to calls of a collision in the Queens Quay West and Bay Street area.just after 5 p.m., adding that there were reports of people that fell. “A number of people are injured.” Toronto paramedics told the Star they had 12 people with minor injuries, including two children, taken to hospital.

Police spokesperson Const. David Hopkinson said the collision occurred at 5:08 p.m. at the Jack Layton Ferry Docks.
