A mother of two in Paradise has started a Facebook group to bring together residents calling for a new high school in their community. NTV’s Bailey Howard tells us more.

Fire Ban Lifted in St. John’s, Mount Pearl, and ParadiseThe St. John’s Regional Fire Department announced today that the fire ban, which was implemented on August 4, 2023, has been lifted for the cities of St. John’s and Mount Pearl, as well as the Town of Paradise. Open fires will now be permitted, but residents are advised to check with their local municipality to see if a burning permit is required from the fire department. The Towns of Portugal Cove-St. Phillips and Conception Bay South have also lifted their fire bans.
