The new venue called Encore by Paparazzi will be at 1415 Broad St., steps away from Paparazzi Nightclub at 642 Johnson St., reads a post on social media.that they were “thrilled” to open a second location, adding that it will be “another dynamic space” that will “amplify the city’s entertainment and nightlife landscape.”

The announcement says that on weekends, Encore will “come alive” with live DJs and a dance floor, similar to Paparazzi. On weekdays, the venue will support the local arts scene, hosting various live shows with new and established artists.In recent years, Paparazzi, a well-known LGBTQ+ nightlife space in B.C.’s capital, has had people abuzz about seeming to shift its focus to a broader audience.The VEC, a community-driven arts and culture space, had its last day of operation on Oct. 27.
