Panthers send Diontae Johnson to Ravens as trade action heats up a week before deadline

Carolina will receive a fifth-round pick, while Baltimore gets Johnson and a sixth-rounder in the deal. according to NFL Network.This is the second time Johnson, 28, has been traded this year, as the Panthers acquired him from the Steelers in March.Johnson has enjoyed a solid season catching passes from Andy Dalton and Bryce Young, resulting in 357 yards receiving in seven games played, along with three touchdowns.

The trade of Johnson is yet another move by a contending AFC team to compete with some of the league’s best teams who also made a similar move.The Ravens are coming off a disappointing loss to the Browns and are set to face the Broncos in Week 9 before a Thursday night date with the Bengals in Week 10.There will surely be more moves ahead of the 2024 NFL Trade Deadline on Nov. 5 at 4 p.m. ET.
