Pair of brothers hit, killed by car while participating in bicycle race near St. George
WASHINGTON CITY, Utah — Two brothers who were participating in a timed bicycle ride in southern Utah died after being hit by a passing car Friday afternoon.
Witnesses and first responders attempted lifesaving measures, and the two victims were taken to St. George Regional Hospital where they later died from their injuries. "We offer our sincerest condolences to all those affected by this tragic accident," the police department wrote in a press release. "Very sorry for the family; we've never had anything like that happen, and it's very sad," Gibson said."It's a devastating thing that happened. We're at a loss."
