Murphy also spearheaded a stock offering that led to upgrades for Lambeau Field in 2012, leading to the completion of the upgrades in 2013. Though Murphy was also responsible for firing Mike McCarthy, he has still been a respected CEO for the Packers.Murphy announced that he would retire on July 13, 2025, which would mark his 70th birthday. He will now be succeeded by Policy, who has spent the past 13 seasons with the Packers.
