The winner, to be decided in a vote by technical leadership from all eight CPL clubs as well as select media, will be announced Nov. 7 in Calgary as part of the CPL championship game festivities. Irving started all 28 matches for Vancouver in his second season with the club. The 31-year-old Eagles’ captain led all CPL goalkeepers with a league-record 96 saves. And his 3.43 saves per 90 minutes ranked first among CPL goalkeepers with at least 10 starts.Despite missing time due to illness, the 21-year-old Gazdov finished tied for second with seven shutouts. He conceded 0.94 goals per 90 minutes, which ranked second among goalkeepers with at least 10 starts, and his 72.
