The Challenger Learning Center at Montco Pottstown helps students envision an endless universe of career opportunities!
January 28th marks the 37th anniversary of the Space Shuttle Challenger tragedy. But in its wake, a global network of education centers was born.
The Pottstown location hosts students from 5th to 8th grade. Each group splits in half to emulate the roles of astronauts and mission control during the two-hour operation. Students also had a chance to learn about the team on the Space Shuttle Challenger and Christa McAuliffe in particular. She was intended to be the first teacher to fly in outer space and even planned to conduct lessons from the Challenger.
