Taking a curve too fast on a Pa. highway proved deadly for 68-year-old motorcyclist on a tandem ride with a biker buddy.

, the motorcyclist, identified as Rodney Jordan, 68, of Curwensville, Clearfield County, died last week at a hospital following the crash on Route 219, near McFadden Road.

Jordan’s motorcycle then struck the guardrail, causing him to be thrown from the bike, WJAC writes, citing state police. Jordan was transported to Penn Highlands Clearfield, where he later succumbed to his injuries, police said. The other rider wasn’t hurt. State police in Clearfield County say a Curwensville man was killed last week in a motorcycle crash in Penn Township.
