Andres Marin faces charges of involuntary manslaughter and homicide by vehicle.
A Montgomery County man has been charged in the death of a 7-year-old girl who fell from the back of his pickup truck during a joy ride and was run over.
Andres Marin, 48, of Plymouth Meeting, is facing charges of involuntary manslaughter and homicide by vehicle., the incident took place on Aug. 22 around 8 p.m. in Plymouth Meeting, where the 7-year-old and other neighborhood children, ages 6 to 11, were riding their bikes outside when they asked Marin, a neighbor, for a ride in his 1996 Subaru Sambar truck.The five children proceeded into the bed of his truck, which has sidewalls that are only 11.5 inches tall.
When Marin drove the children around the neighborhood, the victim leaned over the sidewall, fell and struck her head on the pavement. She was then run over by the truck. Marin then picked the girl up, drove her to her parents’ home and then rushed the girl and her father to the hospital, arriving at 8:14 p.m. Unfortunately, the 7-year-old girl was pronounced dead at 8:43 p.m.,
