The coach has reportedly been charged with simple assault, harassment, strangulation and disorderly conduct.
reported that it all began when two players — one from a Moon club team and the other from a Burgettstown club team — began to fight during their game. Both were fifth graders the site, reported.
Police said that Burgettstown’s coach, Marc Bianchini, tried to break up the fight. That’s when they say that McMullen grabbed Bianchini by the neck from behind and began choking him, according to TribLive. Burgettstown players reportedly tried to pull McMullen off of the coach, and police say when Burgettstown parents attempted to intervene McMullen “struck” one of them in the face “causing severe swelling.
