Stitch Fix said it informed all of its employees of the planned closure on June 6 and sent notices via email on July 10.
The WARN Act is federal legislation that offers protection to workers, their families and communities by requiring employers to provide notice 60 days in advance of a covered-business closing and covered-business mass layoff. The WARN notice was dated July 10. The company undertook a review of its operations and processes that it said was done in order to improve efficiencies, maintaining profitability and cash flow as well as identify opportunities to enhance the client experience.
