Heather Drake of Lower Montague recently won a bronze medal with the Canadian True North team at the world slowpitch championships in Barcelona, Spain.“I was beyond excited to be asked and very honoured to represent my country,” said Drake, who played second base and batted in the clean-up spot while helping the Canadian team post a record of 6-2 .

At the last Canadian championships in Ontario, Canadian True North coach Chris Mullen asked Drake if she would like to be part of the team in Spain.
