Sweet and Spicy: what's the buzz on honey infusions? | SaltWireCHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — There was no lack of excitement and drama at Eastlink Centre as the Charlottetown Islanders battled two of the top teams to back-to-back overtime games in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League over the weekend.
The Islanders are 5-0-0-0 with Conrad in the lineup. The Islanders selected the 16-year-old Conrad, from Stellarton, N.S., 20th overall in the 2023 QMJHL Entry Draft. The Islanders, who were missing five regulars against Drummondville because of injuries and a suspension, had six regulars out of the lineup with injuries versus Moncton.
Robbie Rutledge , who was called up for the two weekend games from the Summerside D. Alex MacDonald Ford Western Capitals of the Maritime Junior Hockey League , opened the scoring just before the halfway mark of the first period. Rutledge contributed four points – two goals and two assists – in the two games.
