SaltWire's Atlantic regional weather forecast for October 6, 2023 | SaltWireCHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A new three-year strategic plan from P.E.I.’s Public Service Commission puts the focus on the people.
The independent agency, which leads and coordinates human resources in the public sector, has released the People Strategy 2023-26, identifying four goals: retention, development, talent acquisition and modernization. "The style of work in Government is changing for the better," said Tanya Rowell, Public Service Commission CEO.
“We are thinking outside the box and taking a fresh approach on how we do things and accomplish our goals to create a brighter future for our province.” The goals and priorities of the strategy were developed based on contributions provided by employees and senior management, along with jurisdictional collaboration and data analytics.
