P.E.I.’s political party leaders presented their plans to fix the Island's increasingly tenuous health-care system in the first and only televised leaders' debate of the province's election campaign on March 27.
This appeared to be an acceleration of a promise in the“What we’re trying to provide is access to care. I think this system that was built in the 1950s is really stale-dated,” King said.
The PC, Liberal and Green platforms all promise free or expanded access to the virtual care apps like MAPLE for more Island patients. “They are hell-bent on maintaining control of decision-making in a system that they have no need to be in,” he said.
